Week 1
Un-Trivializing God:
Reality as Thou
10:30 am in the Celebration Center
We can re-imagine our relationship to the divine and to our environment by seeing God as primary reality, not a separate being, not magical but imbued in all of Nature.

Community Outreach
Water in the Desert
Water in the Desert has been very busy and VERY successful at handing out cold bottled water and snack bags to homeless and needy people in Tucson.
However, we desperately need donations to help us keep up with the demand.
We need individual snack packs of:
*Nuts (almonds, cashews, variety)
*Granola Bars (Soft-style are best)
*Peanut Butter crackers
*Beef Jerky or Beef Sticks
*Chicken or Tuna Salad with crackers packets
*Veggie Straws snack bags
*Bottled Water
*Gatorade (small bottles please)
*Travel size cleansing cloths
*Travel size sunscreen
Donations can be brought to the church office during business hours (Monday - Thursday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm) or on Sundays you can leave them in the Celebration Center, but please be sure they are marked for "Water in the Desert" so we know where they go!

You can also donate by check to "St. Francis in the Foothills" (with "Water in the Desert" in the memo line) or on our website HERE.
So far, Jo Moody has been doing most of the driving around town and handing out bags. We would love (and could really use!) to have more folks help.
As always, thank you so much for your help and generosity.

Pack-a-Snack
Help us decorate and fill snack bags for immigrant families and children staying at The Inn of Southern Arizona.
A group from St. Francis puts together 100 snack bags for the children, and they could use your help.
We meet every Wednesday at 9:15 -10:15 am in Ravenscroft Hall.

Casa Maria
Soup Kitchen
Since 1981, the Casa Maria Soup Kitchen in South Tucson has been providing daily meals to people living with food insecurity. St. Francis has been part of this hunger ministry from the beginning. Every four weeks, on a Saturday morning, volunteers from our community cook up pots of nutritious chili and serve it to those in need.
For information about volunteering, call the church office at 299-9063. Casa Maria is located at 352 E. 25th Street and is open everyday from 8:30 am to 11:30 am.

Katie Kans
In Memory of Katie Clark - change for change.
Katie Kans are collected the first Sunday of every month at our 9:30 am celebration.
Kans may also be dropped off at the church office during business hours (M-Th 9:00 am - 4:00 pm).
All money collected goes to the Community Food Bank and the Casa Maria Soup Kitchen.
