The Case of Missing Coffee Mugs
Over the past three months, around 25 coffee mugs have gone missing from the St. Francis campus. If you happen to find any at home, in your car, or in your bag, we kindly ask that you return them so everyone can continue to enjoy a warm beverage together.
To help ensure we have enough mugs for everyone, please keep them on campus and avoid taking them home or to events after services. Thank you for your help!
A Child Is Born: A Beginners Guide To The Nativity Stories
Advent Bible Study, Beginning November 30th
Only Two Weeks Left!
This four-week Advent study invites you to rediscover the Nativity stories through the insightful lens of scholar Amy-Jill Levine and her book A Child Is Born: A Beginner’s Guide to the Nativity Stories. Together, we’ll explore how Matthew and Luke’s accounts of Jesus’ birth connect to — and are illuminated by — the rich traditions of the Hebrew Scriptures. Through thoughtful discussion and guided reflection, we’ll uncover the deeper meanings, cultural context, and timeless messages that continue to shape how we understand the story of Christ’s birth today.
Each week offers an opportunity to enter the season of Advent with curiosity and wonder, engaging with scripture in a way that honors both its history and its living spirit. Whether you’ve studied the Bible for years or are just beginning your journey, this gathering invites you into a space of learning, conversation, and joyful anticipation. Participants are encouraged to purchase a copy of A Child Is Born using the button below and to read the introduction and first chapter before the first class.
