The Case of Missing Coffee Mugs
Over the past three months, around 25 coffee mugs have gone missing from the St. Francis campus. If you happen to find any at home, in your car, or in your bag, we kindly ask that you return them so everyone can continue to enjoy a warm beverage together.
To help ensure we have enough mugs for everyone, please keep them on campus and avoid taking them home or to events after services. Thank you for your help!

Fuel the Drive
THERE'S STILL TIME! DRIVE ENDS ON OCTOBER 31ST
We’re collecting protein-rich, individually wrapped, easy-to-open items to support our ongoing product drive for those in need. Items such as tuna or chicken packs, protein bars, peanut butter cups, fruit cups, and applesauce pouches are especially appreciated. Every contribution helps ensure that our neighbors have access to nourishing, ready-to-eat food; simple to share, easy to open, and packed with care.
For questions, please contact the office or Patricia George for more information.
The Bible With & Without Jesus Bible Study
NO CLASS THIS SUNDAY! Class resumes Sunday, October 26th at 11:00am.
This six-week study invites you to see scripture with fresh eyes. Guided by Pastor Mike and using The Bible With and Without Jesus by renowned scholars Amy-Jill Levine and Marc Zvi Brettler, we’ll explore some of the most widely quoted Hebrew Bible passages in the New Testament, uncovering what they meant in their original context and how Jews and Christians have interpreted them over centuries.
Together we’ll engage with texts like the creation story, Adam and Eve, Isaiah’s Suffering Servant, Jonah, and Psalm 22 — whose powerful words, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me,” Jesus speaks from the cross. This study offers a chance to deepen your understanding, honor multiple traditions, and discover new ways these texts speak to your life today.

Sophia's Circle
Sunday, October 12th at 10:45am
in Ravenscroft Hall
Sophia’s Circle is a gathering space for women of St. Francis to grow spiritually through learning, reflection, and meaningful connection.
This group is open to anyone who has attended St. Francis—even just once. Together, we explore a wide range of spiritual topics in a welcoming, supportive environment where honesty, curiosity, and laughter are always encouraged.
Each gathering begins with a heartfelt check-in, a time to listen deeply and be seen, followed by a participant-led interactive program. We close by sharing insights, intentions, and blessings from the time spent together.
If you're seeking connection, spiritual nourishment, and a circle of women walking this path together, we hope you’ll join us. You will be warmly welcomed.
Stolen Stability: The Plight of Mobile Home Owners
Sunday, October 12th at 11:00am
in the Celebration Center
Out-of-state corporations are receiving guaranteed government loans at low interest rates from Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae to purchase mobile home parks. After purchase, the rents paid by mobile owners can be significantly raised without any or with few additional investments in the property. This practice is displacing low-income residents. The corporations can then sell to a new group of investors showing great profits based on the rent increases. The current laws do not protect mobile home owners from displacement or loss of property.
Mary Alice Theroux, activist and advocate for fair practice in Mobile Home (MH) Parks will be speaking at St Francis on October 12th at 11:00 am after Sunday services. She is a board member of the Arizona Association of Mobile Home Owners. They seek a number of changes to the laws governing MH owners who rent land. Come learn more about the subject and find out how you can support a more equitable future for MH owners living on rented land.

Have Extra Tennis Balls?
As the 2025 school year begins, our teachers need your help!
The amazing educators in our St. Francis community are seeking lightly used or new tennis balls to place on classroom chair legs—helping chairs glide smoothly and keeping classrooms quiet so students can focus.
You can drop donations in the designated baskets at the Celebration Center and the church office. Every tennis ball you give directly supports a teacher and makes a difference in our local schools.
Let’s rally together and help our teachers start the year strong!
