Writer's picture: kkcbauderkkcbauder

Summer is almost upon us, and our newest Outreach Ministry,

Water in the Desert

is gearing up to help the vulnerable and sadly, increasing,

homeless population in Tucson.

Jo Moody, who is facilitating this ministry, will speak briefly

about Water in the Desert this coming Sunday, May 7th

at the 9:30 am Celebration.

There will be an in-person meeting on

Thursday, May 11th, at 9:00 am

in Ravenscroft Hall.

If you would like to find out more, or help pack bags of

supplies to be given out to the homeless,

we hope you will attend.

If you would like to donate, there are several ways of doing so.

Go to "Giving" and use the drop-down Fund menu to choose "Water in the Desert" for a one-time or repeating contribution.

You can purchase grocery gift cards from Lorelei at the Scrip table on Sunday morning, to be used by Water in the Desert.

Please be sure to tell Lorelei that is what it is for.

Or you can purchase and drop items off at the Church Office

during business hours (Monday - Thursday 9 am to 4 pm)

Here is a list of items Jo is requesting:

  • Bottled or boxed Water

  • Fruit cups or squeeze packs of fruit sauce
