Part-Time Nursery Worker

We are seeking a dependable, creative, and caring person to join our team at St. Francis in the Foothills. This position supports the little ones of St. Francis, creating a safe, joyful, and welcoming space for our youngest children (ages 0-5) during Sunday morning worship.

Hours

  • On - Site at St. Francis in the Foothills

  • Part-time (approximately 2-3 hours on Sundays), with occassional opportunities for additional hours

  • Sunday mornings required (9:00 a.m. call time for 9:30 a.m. worship service)

Wage

  • Pay based on experience

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and check children in and out.

  • Communicate with parents and caregivers.

  • Supervise nursery assistants and volunteers.

  • Lead a brief circle time with stories, songs, or simple activities.

  • Provide warm, attentive care in a safe environment.

  • Prepare and clean the nursery space.

  • Follow church safety and emergency procedures.

  • Collaborate with church staff on age-appropriate activities and ciriculum.

Qualifications

  • Is at least 25 years of age.

  • Have experience caring or working with infants and young children.

  • Is CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to become certified).

  • Can complete all required background checks.

  • Strong communication skills and a professional, inclusive approach to teamwork.

  • Reliability and punctuality for scheduled services.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

  • A mindset of calm problem-solving and attention to detail under timed pressure.

Accountability

  • Reports to the Programs Coordinator.

  • Collaborates with Church Staff, Nursery Assistants, Volunteers, Children and Families.
