Inn2 America

Asylum Seekers Shelter Ministry

It was just over a year ago that we opened Inn2 America. What a year it’s been! We give thanks for all of you who have helped make this happen!

Last week’s news brought both joy and sorrow. Joy that Scott Warren was acquitted of charges, reaffirming that “Humanitarian aid is never a crime.” But sorrow that the Migrant Protection Protocol (MPP), also known as Remain in Mexico, will be implemented along the Arizona border.

As with all immigration/asylum decisions, we have to wait to see how it will play out. Some asylum seekers will still be allowed to enter the US but there has already been a drop in numbers.

What does this mean? For now, we expect that there will be no need to house guests at Inn2 America. The Inn is still hosting people and really needs volunteers. There are multiple ways you can volunteer there.
