Asylum Seekers Shelter Ministry
Inn2 America provides a shelter for families who have been granted temporary asylum status and are waiting for transportation to their sponsors in the US. Most families stay only a day or two but during that time, we provide a welcoming place of rest after what is usually a long and arduous journey.
Volunteering involves being present to our guests, interacting as possible with your language skills, playing with children, serving meals, putting out snacks, packing lunches for traveling, doing laundry, cleaning bathrooms and general clean up. It’s like having a really large family.
We work with The Inn, the other United Methodist shelter, and have guests when their facility is full.
