Facilities Coordinator

Specific Tasks
-
Inspect buildings & grounds on a regular basis to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair, making notes and recommendations to the Church Administrator and the Trustees.

Perform and/or train and supervise custodians who would perform minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and masonry work

Maintain inventory records of church property

Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and place orders as needed

Maintain a chart of maintenance needs so as to prepare for expenses prior to emergencies

Establish and implement relevant vendor contracts (trash & recycling, heating/cooling, fire protection, etc.) Negotiate contracts as needed.

Create and update as needed maintenance policies and procedures

Work directly with any other St Francis committees on projects related to building and grounds maintenance or improvements

Attend monthly Trustees meetings
-
Be available for emergencies outside of normal working hours
Position Overview
The Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for cleanliness, maintenance and security of the campus buildings and grounds. The Facilities Coordinator must be a self- starter, able to foresee needs and create solutions to the challenges that arise in the management of the church property. The Facilities Coordinator will supervise the custodial staff that will implement many of the tasks required to improve and maintain the facilities. This position will serve as the staff representative to the Trustees.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:

HS Diploma.
-
Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and carpentry a plus

RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION IS A MUST.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to use common tools
-
Ability to work with minimal supervision

Some ability to use office equipment (computers, fax machine, copier)

Salary
$36,000 annually
