Thank You!

Our DARE TO CARE events were successful measured by the hundreds of participants hosted by St Francis.

In case you couldn’t attend, two meaningful events were held:

“Queering Faith: Reclaiming Spaces for LGBTQIA+ Teens, young adults and allies” was highlighted by J.J. Warren, our keynote speaker. Inspiring presenters shared personal stories of their journeys and addressed important questions focusing on safe places where LGBTQIA could be themselves without retribution, without rejection, and without fear or harm.

“Community Leader Event” was facilitated by Pastor Jim and Rev. Meredith Joubert.

Seven professional panelists discussed their experiences as LGBTQIA advocates and
activists for Tucson families.

What’s Next?

We still would like to initiate a Dare to Care Coalition, which we didn’t have time to structure in August.  We are inspired that many people have already expressed an interest in discussing the next steps toward protecting the emotional, mental, physical safety of our LGBTQ youth.
